🥾 Brienzer Rothorn Ridge Trail (One of the BEST views in Switzerland)
If you’re looking for a high-impact hike with incredible views, the Brienzer Rothorn Ridge Trail is hard to beat.
This stunning ridgeline walk starts at the summit of the Brienzer Rothorn—which you reach by a scenic steam cogwheel train—and delivers jaw-dropping 360° views the entire way. Think: turquoise Lake Brienz far below, jagged alpine peaks in every direction, and that “how is this real?” feeling with every step.
Older kids and teens who are comfortable with narrow paths will love it, and adults will be taking photo breaks every five minutes (minimum).
Why this hike is perfect for families & first-time Switzerland visitors:
🚞 No big climb — the train does the hard work
🏔️ Non-stop views from start to finish
🥪 Summit restaurant + toilets at the top
📸 One of the most photogenic ridge walks in the Bernese Oberland
👉 Best for: families with adventurous kids, teens, or anyone who wants maximum views for minimum effort
👉 Not ideal for: toddlers or anyone uncomfortable with exposed ridge paths
