What to expect:

Kuta is the best homebase for spending time on Lombok.

Kuta has a laid-back, surf-town vibe with golden beaches, turquoise water, and rolling green hills all around. It’s a mix of bohemian cafés, local warungs, and a growing backpacker scene, still far less crowded than Bali. Treat yourself to a real villa with a private pool and go out for international cuisine in the evening. We loved it!

How to get here:

We rented a scooter for the four weeks we were in Lombok. We used it to get from A to B. Scooters can be easily rented through your accommodation. We rented our scooter at Lembar Harbor. Price: 70k IDR/day
