Strokkur geyser is within the Geysir geothermal area. The paths around the geyser are flat and easy to navigate. Strokkur erupts every 5–10 minutes, shooting boiling water high into the air, and the surrounding area features steaming vents and bubbling mud pools. Entry is free, and guided tours are available to explain the geothermal activity and provide additional insight.
