What to order:
Order a few dishes and share. Go for the caramelised pork, seasonal vegetable dishes, and classic Northern-style plates. This is home-style cooking, so it’s best experienced by trying several dishes rather than just one.
Why it’s here:
Tầm Vị is Michelin-starred and is often cited as the cheapest Michelin-star restaurant in the world. It focuses on traditional Northern Vietnamese food, served in a beautifully restored old house that feels calm, nostalgic, and very Hanoi. It’s not fancy or modern, just thoughtful, well-cooked food rooted in tradition.
Tip:
We recommend booking a table at least a couple of days in advance as it gets very busy. This is a sit-down, slower meal and a nice break from street food. Come hungry and give yourself time to enjoy it properly. It’s especially good if you want to experience a more traditional side of Hanoi dining.
