The House of The Tailor of Gloucester is a charming Beatrix Potter Museum located in Gloucester, dedicated to showcasing the magical work of the beloved author. This was the building, Beatrix Potter chose to draw (page 37 in The Tailor of Gloucester) which inspired her to write what she described as her ‘favourite book’.

You can explore the top floor filled with items donated for display, including books, figurines, and rare collectibles. The highlight is a replica of the Tailor's Waistcoat, painstakingly crafted by WI members, inspired by Beatrix Potter's illustrations. The museum also features a recreated kitchen from Potter's drawings, complete with an automaton display and a shop offering Beatrix Potter memorabilia. It's free experience for all ages to enjoy a walk down memory lane in the world of Peter Rabbit and friends.
