The Historic Sugar Creek Covered Bridge stands as a testament to 19th-century engineering and is one of the few remaining covered bridges in Illinois. Constructed in 1880 by Thomas Black, this 110-foot-long Burr truss bridge crosses Sugar Creek near Glenarm, Illinois. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and is now part of a local park, offering visitors a serene spot for photography and reflection. The bridge is closed to vehicle traffic but remains open to pedestrians, allowing for an up-close view of its intricate wooden structure.
