Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux is hard to miss. It’s one of the most striking cathedrals in Normandy, and not just from the outside. Inside, the light filters through tall stained-glass windows. The famous Bayeux Tapestry was once housed here. There’s no entry fee, and the stained-glass windows are truly stunning. Inside, there’s plenty to explore, including several side chapels. In the evening during the summer, a light installation is projected onto the exterior of the cathedral — a real wow moment. Don’t miss it if you’re in town.
💡 Tip: Walk around the back for a great photo of the full structure with minimal crowds.
