Te Mata Peak is located in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand, at the western boundary of the Heretaunga Plains. This scenic spot is great for hikes, biking or simply taking in the views from the peak, which stands nearly 400 meters above sea level!

The summit is easily accessed via a formed road leading up to the lookout where these shots were taken. I would suggest going up at sunrise as the hills will be lit by the sun and it creates beautiful contours and patterns with the light. Take your wide angle and mid range zoom lens with you.
