The Uragh Stone Circle (Ciorcal Cloch Uragh) is a mysterious and fascinating archaeological site from the Bronze Age. Located near Gleninchaquin Park, County Kerry, Ireland, it is an axial five-stone circle made up of four low megaliths next to an impressive ten feet (3 m) high standing stone. The central area has been dug out by those looking for hidden treasures. Nearby are multiple stone circles and some boulder burials adding to its mystery. It is believed that these megalithic structures were used for religious or ceremonial purposes as well as community gatherings and while much remains a mystery, the sight of the massive stones and grand sense of history and wonderment can evoke is indescribable.
