Fámjin is a charming village nestled on the rugged west coast of Suðuroy Island in the Faroe Islands. With colorful houses scattered along the mountainside, this remote settlement offers stunning views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can hike to the serene Lake Kirkjuvatn, where they can recharge and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Fámjin is also known for being the birthplace of the first Faroese flag, designed by local student Jens Olivur Lisberg. Don't forget to check out the flag hanging in the church when you visit!
