We’re a Finnish-Canadian homeschooling family of 10 exploring all 309 municipalities in Finland — one stop at a time! We started homeschooling in 2015 while living in Canada, and continued in Finland after our kids wished to return to it in 2020. For us, learning happens everywhere — through nature, travel, and shared experiences.

The idea for #309kuntaa began when the kids listed summer ideas — all about traveling. A spontaneous question turned into a full-blown mission: “What if we visited every municipality in Finland?” Three weeks later, we hit the road.
