Dragon Wharf, also known as Nha Rong Wharf, is a historic landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, now housing the Ho Chi Minh Museum (HCMC Branch). Located along the Saigon River, this site is significant as it marks the place where Ho Chi Minh, then known as Nguyen Tat Thanh, set sail in 1911 on a journey that would eventually lead to Vietnam’s independence. The building itself is a beautiful blend of French colonial and traditional Vietnamese architecture, easily recognizable by the dragon-shaped decorations on its roof, which give the wharf its name.

Inside the museum, visitors can explore a rich collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents that detail Ho Chi Minh's life, his travels, and his role in Vietnam's fight for independence. The exhibits provide deep insights into the history of Vietnam during the 20th century and the legacy of one of its most revered leaders.

The museum is open daily from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM and then again from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Entrance tickets are very affordable, typically costing around 10,000 VND (approximately €0.40) per person. Visiting Dragon Wharf offers not only a chance to delve into the country’s history but also the opportunity to enjoy the scenic views of the Saigon River.

Whether you're a history buff or simply curious about Vietnam's past, Dragon Wharf and the Ho Chi Minh Museum provide a compelling and educational experience at a very accessible price.
