Now, we wouldn’t say that visiting the Thuận Phước Bridge is a must-do activity on its own, but chances are, you’ll cross it at some point while exploring Da Nang. So, we thought it’d be helpful to give you a little history and info on this impressive suspension bridge.
Spanning the Han River, the Thuận Phước Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam, stretching 1,850 meters long and standing 80 meters high. Construction started back in 2003 and was completed in 2009. It’s not only a vital connection for motor vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists but also a cool piece of engineering to admire as you travel across the city.
You’ll most likely spot the bridge while moving around Da Nang, and while it’s not something to go out of your way for, it’s definitely worth knowing about when you cross it!
