Apella, perhaps the most popular one on the island and that’s definitely for a reason.
Or many!
It’s not only the amazing blue waters, but also the fact that it’s big enough to offer peace and privacy. From its one end to the other, you’ll definitely find your spot, under a pine tree, a rock, a cave. You’ll get there either by car (a 33-mins drive from Karpathos town or a 45-mins drive from Olympos), or a by boat: boat trips take place daily during the summer, starting in the morning from the port of Pigadia. If you decide to drive there, pay a little attention to the many turns when descending to the beach (the road takes you quite high and then down to the beach). Always be cautious of rocks on your way that might have fallen. Karpathos has a very rugged island as you’ll notice and rock slides are a common phenomenon, especially as you make your way north.
