St. George Lycabettus hotel offers probably the best view you can get in Athens. Built right below the top of Lycabettus hill, at the heart of Kolonaki district, this 51 year old hotel is a landmark in this city by itself.

In an age where Athens is becoming a tourist theme park (at least that’s my opinion) and almost every building in the centre is turning into another Airbnb, this hotel reminds us of how Athens used to be. When there were only real, authentic hotels in the city. And this is why I like to visit it again and again and promote it on my page. Also, most of the personnel who works in the hotel has been around for years..even decades!
