The River Inn is an affordable family-run hotel near St. Moritz, centrally located to many of our favorite hikes in this region and a short walk from the St Moritz lake.

TIP: This hotel offers the Engadin Mountain Railways Included pass, which includes free tickets on public transport and 13 mountain railways in this area: Piz Nair, Diavolezza, Corvatsch, Furtschellas, Muottas Muragl and more. This saved us a lot of money during our stay.

The newly renovated rooms are simple but comfortable, with small kitchens with an oven and fridge so you can prepare simple meals. This setup was perfect for our family, so we didn't have to go out for every meal. We had a family room with a double sofa bed for the kids.

The included breakfast buffet was very nice, with local products and handmade cakes. They have a washing machine and dryer on site (coin operated),

We came by car and appreciated the free parking right in front of the hotel, no narrow street to navigate. The nearest bus stop is a 5 min walk, a good option when we were doing a one way hike or going into the center of St Moritz, where parking can be difficult and expensive.

We had nice views from our room that faced the mountains. But the hotel is on the busy road, so there was some road noise when we opened the windows. So you might prefer a room facing the river.
