Lagkagehuset (pronounced "LAO-kay-hoos-it") is a Danish bakery chain that you will find all over Copenhagen. They make all of the classic Danish pastries (like tebirkes, kanelsnegle, and spandauer) and have a selection of breads, sandwiches, and cakes, too. It's very good for a chain, and they give out "børneboller" (kids' buns, basically a brioche bun) for free if you buy something and have your child(ren) with you! Most Lagkagehusets have seating inside. It's a very family-friendly place for an easy breakfast or lunch!
