The Devil's Thumb Trail via Lake Agnes Trail is a challenging but very rewarding hike with stunning views of Lake Louise, Lake Agnes & Mirror Lake, glaciers, and rugged mountain peaks. It is 7.9 miles and takes an average of 5 hours. This hike can be done in winter but there will be LOTS of snow and an avalanche risk. If you plan on attempting it in winter, be fully prepared.

It combines sections of the Lake Agnes and Big Beehive trails before ascending to the summit of Devil's Thumb. The highlight of the hike is the panoramic view of the 3 Lakes, and Big Beehive from the top. If you're looking for a more challenging hike in Lake Louise, this is for you! Remember to bring spikes even if you're going in June-July as there may be some snow!

The latter portion of this trail involves some steep scrambling on loose rocks and dirt so only attempt if you have scrambling experience.
