Marmot Basin is a fantastic ski resort in Jasper National Park that offers great terrain without the crowds of Banff’s busier resorts. With a laid-back, locals’ hill vibe, it’s perfect for those who enjoy wide-open runs and a relaxed atmosphere.
The resort features a mix of challenging terrain, scenic bowls, and well-groomed runs, making it a great choice for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The only downside is that Marmot Basin receives less snowfall compared to other Rocky Mountain resorts, but its high elevation and excellent snow management keep conditions solid throughout the season.
For those looking to ski in the Rockies without long lift lines and packed slopes, Marmot Basin is a top choice. We haven't spent as much time skiing the resort as the one's around Banff, but the time we have spent here was wonderful.
