The "Reservoir" makes a tremendous spot for photographs and recreation. Canmore has a wide selection of waterways, and visitors can enjoy many water activities in the area. The reservoir above the town is framed by stunning mountain views and makes for the ideal spot to get out on the water.

Stand-up paddleboarding is a favorite for many locals and on a hot day it's where you're likely to find us. Bow Valley SUP has operated in Canmore for the past five years and offers rentals, lessons, and sales. On nice days in the summer, they often have a pop-up van at the Canmore Reservoir, where you can rent a paddleboard.
