Waerebo Village is a traditional village located in Indonesia that's known for its unique cone-shaped houses and stunning natural surroundings. Visitors can experience the rich culture of the Manggarai people, learn about their way of life, and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests. It's a great place to immerse yourself in local traditions and escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. It takes around 3 hours to hike up to the top of the mountain, you can do it as a day trip or stay there overnight. The village is super remote but super super beautiful and it's such a unique experience. You don't need a tour guide to take you to the top but when you arrive you pay 200k (£10) entrance fee and then make a donation to the village elder so I recommend carrying cash.
