Location:
Leven Canyon is located in north-west Tasmania, near the town of Ulverstone. Access is via a short drive off the main highway, with parking available at the canyon visitor area. All roads are sealed.
Hike length:
There are two main viewing options: the top lookout and the base lookout. Visiting the top first is recommended, as it allows you to enjoy the main views without climbing the 600 stairs from the base.
Top Lookout: A very short, easy walk from the car park, suitable for all visitors.
Base Lookout: Accessible via a 600-step staircase from the top. The full round trip can take 45–60 minutes, depending on your pace and how long you linger at the viewpoints.

Base Lookout: Moderate, mainly due to the stairs on the way back up.
