Packing Tips

Peru’s climate is wildly diverse—expect to experience desert, mountain, and jungle weather all in one trip. Pack layers: moisture-wicking base layers, warm fleece or down jacket, waterproof outer shell, and lightweight clothing for Lima or the Amazon. Don’t forget:

• Sturdy hiking shoes or boots

• Daypack with hydration system

• Sunscreen + sunglasses (UV is strong at altitude!)

• Bug spray with DEET for jungle areas

• Rain gear if traveling during the wet season

• Headlamp or flashlight for early treks or power outages
