Mauerpark is an urban public park located in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg District. Its name translates to "Wall Park," referring to its status as part of the former Berlin Wall and its Death Strip. Spanning 15 hectares (37 acres) when complete in 2019, visitors to Mauerpark can enjoy a variety of activities, including taking a stroll around the park, engaging in sports in the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark, or shopping at the nearby flea market. On Sundays, even more activities await within Mauerpark; visitors will come across Bearpit Karaoke Shows and lively jam sessions. The park also features an 800 meter stretch of the Berlin Wall as a monument and popular graffiti spot!
