Every Dzong (fortress) is divided into two distinct sections: the administrative/governmental side and the religious side.
Pro Tip: Always make sure your guide takes you to both. While the governmental side is architecturally grand, the religious part offers much better opportunities to photograph monks in their daily environment and capture the spiritual essence of the fortress.
