If you’re heading to New Zealand, then you’re hundred percent in for a treat because South Island is an incredible gem, unlike any other place I’ve been to before and you will not regret it.
It is an absolute banging destination with incredibly rich and diverse landscapes, mountains, lakes, rushing waterfalls, rolling hills, clay cliffs, flat plains, small towns and metropolitan cities, like you cannot go wrong with South Island in New Zealand.
This itinerary mostly covers the East Coast of South Island, but with options to visit the West Coast too. We did a day trip to Milford Sound.
You can do this South Island Itinerary at a fast pace in 7-8 days, however you can also do it in 10 – 14 days fairly leisurely.
