Zaō Fox Village is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Japan and has been featured on many channels, including TV, radio and the Internet. The village is home to over 100 different animals found all across Japan, predominantly foxes. Visitors can find all six different types of foxes here, from tame foxes on leashes, ready to be pet to wild foxes roaming around the large enclosed preserve. Tourists can purchase food to offer to the foxes as they explore, which will bring the foxes running up to them with excitement. The villagers have also built structures around the area, such as mini houses for the foxes, and a shrine. With its beautiful mountain scenery, Zao Fox Village is an experience no traveler should miss.
