The Hie Shrine is an ancient Shinto shrine located in Tokyo, Japan. It is an incredibly popular attraction for Japanese people to visit during their coming-of-age celebrations (Shichi-Go-San). The main deity of the shrine is Oyamakui no Kami, and it has been designated a National Treasure for possessing a single-edged sword. In terms of architecture, it consists of traditional Japanese buildings such as a haiden, heiden, hokora, and katsuogi. The current building dates back to 1958, and is connected to major train lines including the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Marunouchi Line, and Chiyoda Line. For history buffs or visitors interested in experiencing a historical landmark of Japan, the Hie Shrine is a must-see.
