Тук историята и легендите се преплитат. Най-известната разказва за 40 девойки, които, за да не попаднат в ръцете на османците, се завързали една за друга с плитките си и скочили в морето. Скалите и до днес пазят спомена за тяхната смелост и свобода.

Друга легенда е свързана със Свети Никола – покровителят на моряците. Той бягал от османците, а Бог удължавал земята под краката му, за да може да избяга. Така бил създаден и носът. В крайна сметка светецът бил заловен, а днес параклис, реставриран през 1993 г., символично пази неговия гроб.

Here, history and legends intertwine. The most famous one tells of 40 maidens who, in order not to fall into the hands of the Ottomans, tied themselves together with their braids and jumped into the sea. To this day, the rocks preserve the memory of their courage and freedom.

Another legend is associated with Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors. He was fleeing from the Ottomans, and God lengthened the earth beneath his feet so that he could escape. This is how the cape was created. In the end, the saint was captured, and today a chapel, restored in 1993, symbolically guards his tomb.
