В самия център на Пловдив, над Главната улица, се намира паметникът на Мильо Лудия – символ на пловдивския бохем и усмивката на града. Мильо, известен със своята добродушна и шеговита натура, е бил любимец на местните, често наблюдавал минувачите и разказвал истории от стълбището, където статуята сега го увековечава.

Статуята е издигната през 2005 г. от скулптора Данко Данков, тя го изобразява седнал с ръка на ухото и другата в джоба – точно както е бил виждан приживе.

Мильо е истинско историческо лице, което с обаянието и характера си остава завинаги в сърцата на пловдивчани. Паметникът е дарение от български емигрант в САЩ и е едно от любимите места за разходка, селфи и среща с духа на Стария град.

In the very center of Plovdiv, above Main Street, stands the monument to Milo the Madman—a symbol of Plovdiv's bohemian spirit and the smile of the city. Milo, known for his good-natured and playful character, was a favorite of the locals, often watching passersby and telling stories from the staircase where the statue now immortalizes him.

The statue was erected in 2005 by sculptor Danko Dankov and depicts him sitting with one hand on his ear and the other in his pocket, just as he was seen during his lifetime.

Milo is a real historical figure who, with his charm and character, remains forever in the hearts of the people of Plovdiv. The monument was donated by a Bulgarian emigrant in the United States and is one of the favorite places for walking, taking selfies, and encountering the spirit of the Old Town.
