Ninh Binh city vs Tam Coc

When visit Ninh Bình, you need to decide where to stay in Ninh Binh - usually between Ninh Binh city and Tam Coc.

Tam Coc offers a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by stunning nature, karst mountains, greenery, and a peaceful river. We stayed in Tam Coc and can highly recommend it.

Ninh Binh city suits travelers who prefer a more urban vibe and better transport connections, but honestly, Tam Coc also has plenty of hotels and restaurants, so you won’t miss anything.

This Ecolodge is the third place to stay, in Trang An!

How to get here:

We came here from Hanoi. We compared prices and since a Grab was almost exactly the same price as the bus (via 12goasia), we decided to take a Grab. Advantage: Grab takes you right to the hotel, whereas with the bus we would have had to organize transportation from Ninh Binh to the accommodation.

This is certainly a good alternative for families, as children often need a ticket on the bus too. For travelers alone or couples, the bus is probably cheaper.
