Ayers Rock Campground is the perfect base for visiting Uluru Kata Tjuta national park.

It's just 20km from Uluru, making sunrise and sunset visits super easy. You can camp under the stars or stay in an air-conditioned cabin—both options are comfortable and well-equipped. The campground has a pool, BBQs, and a self-service laundry, plus a free shuttle to the resort's restaurants, shops, and activities.

We like to stay in the overflow area out back for some more privacy when they are open. It's a little more relaxed out there with a real outback vibe, and you'll meet fellow travellers from all over. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a laid-back place to stay near the rock.
