Right on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, you'll find one of our most breathtaking landmarks, the Temple of Dawn. What makes it so special is the massive central spire, or 'prang', covered in intricate pieces of colourful porcelain that shimmer in the sunlight. Be prepared for a bit of a climb up some steep steps on the main prang; the rewarding views of the river and the city are absolutely worth the effort. For a truly magical experience, try to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the light is soft and the crowds are a bit thinner.
