The Miradouro da Garganta Funda is a breathtaking viewpoint located on the southwestern tip of Madeira Island. It offers a stunning view of a grand waterfall that plunges approximately 140 meters from a jagged hillside into a lush green backdrop. To reach this viewpoint, visitors embark on an easy and short 600-meter trail, leading to a scene of unique contours where the beauty of nature is on full display.

Beware, however, that if you go here in the dry season, the waterfall will most likely be dry.
