The Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools are a popular attraction in Madeira, known for their clear waters and unique setting amidst volcanic lava formations. These saltwater pools are filled naturally by the ocean tides and offer a safe and picturesque swimming experience.

Regarding the paid section, the entrance fee is €3 EUR , which grants access to facilities such as a bar, changing rooms, a playground, and a first aid station. Sun loungers and parasols are also available for hire, and there’s a lifeguard on duty to ensure safety.

The pools are open from 9 am to 7 pm during summer and 9 am to 5 pm during winter, allowing visitors to enjoy a refreshing swim with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Accessible by buses number 139 or 80. Find the bus schedule here or plan your route via Rome2Rio.
