How to get here- Follow the main A363 road along the south shore of Issyk-Kul and look for a small sign or path off the road indicating Mars Canyon. The final section is on a dirt road through local homes, and 4×4 is highly recommended. There is no entrance fee or formal gate—entry is free.

Tips

• A 4×4 vehicle is ideal—after rain the road can become slippery with mud.

• Being an undeveloped site, there are no facilities or services, so bring your own food, water, and shelter.
