Santa Anna Church in Barcelona is an amazing and unique architectural gem. Located in the small and hidden Placeta de Ramon Amadeu, just a few meters away from Plaça Catalunya, it was commissioned by the Monks of the Holy Sepulchre order during the 12th century. It took three centuries to finish and boasts an incredible mixture of Roman and Gothic style details, such as its 15th-century cloister and chapter house. Visitors can enjoy a pleasant tour within its walls and admire beautiful features like the replica cross standing outside the entrance, the lovely cloister with its seasonal plants and palm tree, or the octagonal dome of the chapter house. The church is also known for hosting wedding celebrations due to its charm, its perfect atmosphere, and the tradition of “l’Ou Com Balla”, while candlelit concerts are regularly organized too.
