I absolutely LOVED this experience in Seward! 10/10 experience.
The Alaska SeaLife Center is located right along the shore with a coastal walking path leading up to it and right in the heart of Seward. It's not just an aquarium; it’s also a research and rehabilitation facility dedicated to studying and protecting the unique wildlife of Alaska's coastal waters. You can check out various exhibits featuring sea otters, seals, and even puffins, all while learning about the importance of conservation. The center plays a vital role in rescuing injured animals and educating the public about the challenges facing marine ecosystems. With its hands-on experiences and engaging programs, it’s a fun and informative place for families and anyone interested in the ocean. Watching the Sea Lions from the viewing room was amazing because they have a pool they can swim in. I got to truly see their personalities while playing with each other. I also was not expecting to walk into a room and be SO close to the puffins.

If you plan and book ahead, you can save money instead of paying day-of pricing. After visiting here, it's a great opportunity to walk and explore the downtown area and walk the coastal walking path.
