If you’re up for a real adventure in Belize, the ATM Cave is an experience you’ll never forget. We got the tip to go early in the morning to beat the crowds, and honestly it made a huge difference — the cave felt completely magical and a little mysterious. You get to wade through rivers, climb rocks, and explore chambers full of ancient Maya pottery, skeletons, and crystals, so it’s part history lesson, part adrenaline rush.
Tours usually cost around 120–150 USD per person, and a guide is required, which is great because they tell you all the stories and help you navigate safely. Wear clothes that can get wet and muddy, and bring water shoes — it’s part hiking, part swimming, and totally worth it. If you’re dreaming of an adventure that mixes history, nature, and a little thrill, this is hands-down one of the best things to do in Belize.
Absolutely a high light of our time in Belize, we've added the tour we did below if you are interested
