Pupusería El Milagro is one of those places that’s simple, local, and exactly where you want to eat if you’re chasing real Salvadoran food. It’s busy with locals, which is always a good sign, and the smell of fresh pupusas cooking as you walk in is unreal.

The pupusas are freshly made, hot off the griddle, and loaded with filling. We loved trying a mix of cheese, beans, chicharrón, and loroco, all served with curtido and salsa on the side. It’s comforting, filling food that hits the spot any time of day, especially after travelling or a beach day.

Prices are super cheap, usually around 0.50–1 USD per pupusa, so you can easily order a few and still spend next to nothing. If you want authentic, no-fuss local food that tastes amazing, Pupusería El Milagro is an absolute must while you’re in the area.
