If you’re in the Santa Marta area, Tayrona National Park is an absolute must-visit. It’s one of Colombia’s most beautiful natural spots, with pristine beaches, lush jungle trails, and incredible wildlife. The mix of mountains meeting the Caribbean Sea makes the scenery truly unforgettable.
We loved hiking through the park — there are trails for every level, from short walks to longer treks that take you to hidden beaches and viewpoints. Along the way, you’ll see monkeys, tropical birds, and plenty of plant life, which makes it feel like a real jungle adventure. Some of the beaches, like Playa Cristal and Cabo San Juan, are perfect for swimming or just relaxing in the sun.
Entrance is around 25,000 COP (~6–7 USD) per person, and it’s best to arrive early to avoid the crowds and make the most of the day. If you’re in Colombia and want a mix of hiking, wildlife, and some of the most stunning beaches you’ll ever see, Tayrona National Park is an absolute must.
