Quince is a tiny, San Miguel de Allende with very limited tourism infrastructure, so expect basic guesthouses or family homestays rather than hotels and no ATM or tourist office. You will get there by local bus or shared taxi on often bumpy, sometimes unpaved roads, so travel light and keep cash on hand for fares and purchases. Food is home-cooked and local, so if you have dietary restrictions bring snacks or specific items. Mobile signal can be spotty, so download maps and arrange pickup times in advance with your host. Bring water purification tablets, sunscreen and insect repellent, and be prepared to walk on uneven terrain in sturdy shoes. Finally, learn a few Spanish phrases, ask before photographing people, and offer a small gift or tip for homestays to show appreciation.
