The Galápagos Islands honestly felt like stepping into another world. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how raw, untouched, and alive everything felt. It’s one of those rare places where nature truly comes first, and you’re just lucky enough to witness it.
Things We Loved in the Galápagos:
Wildlife Everywhere – Swimming with sea lions, spotting giant tortoises, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, and turtles all in their natural habitat was unreal. No zoos, no cages — just you and the animals.
Snorkelling & Diving – Some of the best snorkelling we’ve ever done. Crystal-clear water, huge schools of fish, sharks, rays, and seals swimming right past us.
Island Hopping – Each island felt completely different. We loved exploring places like Santa Cruz and Isabela, with their lava landscapes, white-sand beaches, and quiet coastal towns.
Volcanic Landscapes – Walking across lava fields and hiking viewpoints made us feel like we were on another planet.
Slow Island Life – Even with all the adventure, the islands have a calm, peaceful vibe that makes you slow down and really soak it all in together.
Tips for Visiting:
Best time: Year-round destination, but December–May is warmer with calmer seas; June–November is cooler with incredible marine life.
Getting around: Tours make everything easy, especially for snorkelling and wildlife excursions.
Essentials: Reef-safe sunscreen, snorkel gear (if you prefer your own), motion sickness tablets, and a good camera — you’ll need it.
The Galápagos is one of those once-in-a-lifetime places that truly lives up to the hype. Experiencing it together — swimming with wildlife, exploring wild landscapes, and feeling so connected to nature — made it one of the most unforgettable trips we’ve ever done.
