If you’re around San Ignacio Market, you’ve got to check out Mincho’s. It’s a tiny local spot, but the food is seriously good — think fresh, homey Belizean dishes like stews, rice and beans, and fryjacks that hit the spot.

We loved grabbing a plate and eating right there in the market, soaking up the local vibe and chatting with the friendly owners. Prices are super cheap, usually around 3–6 USD per dish, so it’s easy to try a few things without worrying about the bill. Honestly, if you want a real taste of San Ignacio, this is a little hidden gem you shouldn’t miss.

Super cheap and very local, you have to try the fry jacks and other specialities on the menu.
