If you’re looking for an easy and super memorable cenote day trip from Mérida, Cenote Santa Bárbara is one we would definitely recommend. It’s a small cenote complex near Homún where you visit three completely different cenotes in one go, and the whole experience feels really well organised but still relaxed and fun. Each cenote has its own vibe, from open and bright to more enclosed and cave-like, so it never feels repetitive.

Entry is usually around 300 MXN per person, which includes access to all three cenotes and transport between them on a bike, horse-drawn cart or motorised trolley, which honestly makes it part of the experience. Our tip is to go earlier in the day so you can take your time swimming and avoid bigger tour groups, and bring water shoes as the paths can be rocky. The water is insanely clear, perfect for floating and photos, and it’s one of those spots that feels like great value for how much you get to see in one visit.
