We stopped by De Gustibus Bakery and instantly fell in love — the smell alone will make you want to stay all day. It’s a cute, colorful spot with a super relaxed vibe, perfect for grabbing a coffee and a pastry while watching the town go by.

The baked goods here are seriously amazing — fresh bread, croissants, cakes, and sweet treats that are perfect for breakfast or a mid-morning snack. We couldn’t get enough of their pastries and the coffee was strong and delicious, making it an easy favorite during our mornings in Puerto Viejo.

Prices are really reasonable, usually 2–6 USD per item, so you can try a few things without breaking the bank. If you’re in town and want fresh, tasty pastries, great coffee, and a chill spot to relax, De Gustibus Bakery is an absolute must-stop.
