We stumbled upon Rincóncito Antigüeño and instantly fell in love — this was hands down the best local food in town. It’s a small, cozy spot that feels really authentic, and you can tell the food is made with care and love. The flavours are bold, fresh, and just hit that perfect balance of traditional Guatemalan dishes done right.

Everything we tried was amazing, from hearty stews and fresh tortillas to classic pepian and local tamales. The portions are generous, and the dishes are packed with flavor, making it the perfect spot for a filling lunch or dinner after wandering Antigua’s streets all day. The staff are super friendly too, and they make you feel right at home.

Prices are really reasonable, usually around 5–10 USD per main dish, which makes it easy to try a few different things without breaking the bank. If you want authentic, delicious Guatemalan food in a cozy, local setting, Rincóncito Antigüeño is an absolute must-visit while in Antigua.
