If you’re planning a stay in Oaxaca de Juárez, we’d really recommend Grana B&B as a gorgeous, design-forward base right in the historic centre of the city. It’s set in a beautifully restored 18th-century building with earthy, handcrafted interiors and lots of local Oaxacan art and textiles that give it a warm, authentic feel. The location is perfect for walking everywhere — you’re just steps from Templo de Santo Domingo, the Zócalo and markets — and the breakfast served every morning of fresh fruit, pastries and rotating regional dishes is one of our favourite ways to start the day. Prices for a room vary by season and room type but are generally around USD 180–300 per night, which feels fair for the quality, comfort and central location.
