If you’re in San Salvador and craving Italian food, Monterosso Trattoria is a great spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner. We went as a couple and really enjoyed how comfortable and welcoming it felt - nice enough for a date, but not too fancy or stiff.

The food was the highlight for us. It was some of the best italian we ate in all of Central America. Everything we tried was good, the vodka pasta was our favourite and the pizzas were elite! The crust was thin and crispy, the ingredients tasted fresh, and it was perfect for sharing. Their pastas are solid too, and the starters are great if you want to order a few things for the table.

Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Most pizzas and pastas are around $10–18 USD, and even with drinks you can usually keep it under $30 per person. Portions are filling, so you won’t leave hungry.
