If you’re in Santa Ana and want a real taste of local Salvadoran food, Pupusería La Ceiba is a must-try spot for lunch or dinner. Easily some of the best Pupusas we had! We went together and loved how simple and tasty everything was (and so cheap!).
The pupusas here are the main draw. They make them fresh, and you can choose all kinds of fillings - beans and cheese, revuelta (pork and cheese), vegetarian, and more — and they’re very affordable (usually around about $1 each). We also tried a big “pupusa loca” filled with everything, and that was our favourite because it was super filling and full of flavour.
There are also local juices like horchata and plant-based options if you want something to drink with your meal, and the vibe is casual and friendly - a great local spot to sit and eat without spending much.
If you want classic and authentic Salvadoran pupusas that hit the spot, Pupusería La Ceiba is definitely worth stopping by when you’re in Santa Ana.
